Filters

A filter is specialist glass that is positioned in front of a lens and can serve a variety of purposes. A polarising filter removes glare (polarised light), resulting in reduced reflections off non-metallic surfaces and intensified colours. Filters are particularly popular in landscape photography. A neutral density filter reduces the amount of light let in through the lens, popular for increasing shutter speed in landscape photography or maintaining optimal shutter speeds when shooting video.
